AFM Publisher & Owner

To Whom It May Concern

Kevin Reichert was the Editor for American Family Magazine for which I was Publisher and owner.

Among other things, including an outstand work ethic; his graphic arts work is superb. I have no idea how genius manifests, but I saw it in his work month after month.

As an example I would tell him to do something nifty and heartwarming for the Thanksgiving cover. The next morning it was in my IN box. I would show it to my wife, who is a fine water color artist, and she’d say, “Kevin did it again.” As simplistic as this sounds; it was one artist complimenting another.

His ads, no two alike, were wonderful. It was one thing if I liked them and quite another if a potential client did. And they all did. Kevin’s ads quite literally were art forms of their own.

Please call or email me if you have questions.

Dear Potential Employer,

I am writing you at the request of my friend and colleague, Kevin Reichert. Kevin and I have worked together on the American Family Magazine since November 2009. He began as a writing mentor and became my editor-in-chief. Over the years he has skillfully published my work in the magazine with lively and creative graphics.

Kevin is an unflappable optimist, who stuck with the magazine through difficult times as he helped transform the magazine from a hard copy throw away distributed in one Seattle neighborhood to a national web magazine.

Kevin is a hard worker who relentlessly completes projects on deadline. When the magazine was run on deadline, I would often be forced to submit finished articles from our writers just days before publication and still Kevin would have the magazine out on time.

Kevin has a natural eye for design. As copyeditor I submit edited plain copy articles, sometimes with art work but mostly without and I am always impressed by the creativity and esthetic of the final layout of the magazine.

I would highly recommend Kevin Reichert for the position of graphic artist. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Thank you for your time and consideration in this matter.

To Whom it May Concern:

I have worked with Kevin for more than a year as writer with American Family Magazine. Kevin replies quickly to questions and concerns about writing assignments and is always ready with extra help and advice when needed–regardless of the time of day (or time zone difference). I have truly enjoyed his openness and willingness to consider my ideas and work with me to help them come to fruition. Kevin’s attitude and enthusiasm makes him a joy to work with. He is excited about everything he does and is determined to give 110% to every project. These qualities are reflected in the work that he creates.

To Whom It May Concern;

It has been my pleasure to have been associated with Kevin Reichert through American Family Magazine since December of 2010.

As a contributing writer for the magazine for which Kevin was managing editor, I found him to be a very capable and consistent editor with very clear expectations about content, deadlines and quality.

I found Kevin to be genial, easy to collaborate with and highly productive.

It would be my pleasure to continue to work with him on any project he is involved in.
